It has been 185 years since the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi, and while most accept it as the nation's founding document, fewer agree on what rights and responsibilities it gives New Zealanders today; and how - or even if - it should shape our legislature and governance. Andrew Urquhart invited historian Dr Alistair Reese, the Salvation Army's Capt. Hana Seddon, and Anglican clergyman Rev. Mark Barnard to share their views on who should be involved in shaping answers to those questions.
