"Look, there's the last-minute guy!" The parable of the workers in the vineyard seems so unfair. Aren't we supposed to be rewarded according to our efforts? Why should the workers that joined during the last hour get the same as those who toiled the whole day? When we realize that Jesus was talking about His grace in this parable, the unfathomable mercy of our Lord shines through. One day we will celebrate the grace of God together in heaven. We all will receive the same reward, from those that served their whole life to those that accepted the grace of Christ in their final hours.
